Product advertising and institutional advertising
Advertising seeks to get you to buy, subscribe to, or pay for their products or services. Propaganda, on the other hand, seeks to make you aware of a movement, a line of thought or a concept and support it, for example: taking care of water, not littering, adopting a pet, etc.
Product advertising is about highlighting the benefits and specific features of the products you offer.
It is the dissemination of a type of communication, created to promote ideas, benefits of a brand and information of a commercial nature. It consists of advertisements for products on TV, radio, social networks, web pages and print media (magazines, newspapers, brochures, billboards, posters, merchandising, etc.).
Institutional advertising is that form of public communication carried out through any means and using paid or transferred media with the purpose of transmitting messages of public interest to citizens.
The main difference between commercial and institutional advertising is its objective of action. The commercial part seeks to sell a product or service in the market, while the corporate and institutional vision tries to sensitize and raise awareness in society about ideas and actions to achieve common benefits.
